We had a very bad experience with Sandalia Yachting. We rented a Oceanis 473 of the year 2002. Of course we knew that this is not a new boat, and we didn’t expect a beautiful, shiny boat. However, we expected that it was a functional boat. Unfortunately this was not the case. Very many crucial things were wrong with the boat. The mooring light in the top of the mast didn’t work, the GPS stopped working after one day, the electronic compas was 15 degrees off, the speedometer was completely wrong, the wind speed and wind direction were completely wrong, one cabin smelled so much like diesel that we could hardly use it, the propeller and the underwater part of the boat were full of algae, the main sail was difficult to get down (we had to use our full body weight to pull the sail down), one of the toilets was leaking into the boat, the water tanked leaked into the boat when we filled it.

After one day we had to go back to the harbor to fix at least the GPS, the compass, the mooring light, the wind speed, the diesel smell and the speedometer. They said the could not fix the diesel smell, and they fixed everything else. When we left, the speedometer, wind speed & direction and the compass were still not working.

Sardegna is a beautiful place to sail and I recommend it to everyone, but don’t rent your boat from Sandalia Sailing.

Abbiamo avuto una pessima esperienza con Sandalia Yachting. Abbiamo affittato una Oceanis 473 del 2002. Ovviamente sapevamo che questa non è una nuova barca, e non ci aspettavamo una bella barca lucido. Tuttavia, ci aspettavamo che fosse una barca funzionale. Purtroppo questo non era il caso. Cose cruciale molte erano sbagliate con la barca. La luce di ormeggio in testa d’albero non ha funzionato, il GPS ha smesso di funzionare dopo un giorno, la compas elettronica era di 15 gradi fuori, il contachilometri è stato completamente sbagliato, la velocità del vento e direzione del vento sono state completamente sbagliata, una cabina puzzava così molto simile a diesel che si potrebbe quasi usare, l’elica e la parte subacquea della barca erano piene di alghe, la vela principale è stato difficile scendere (abbiamo dovuto usare il nostro peso del corpo per tirare la vela verso il basso), uno dei i servizi igienici colava sulla barca, l’acqua tankato sono riversate in barca quando abbiamo riempito.

Dopo un giorno abbiamo dovuto tornare al porto per risolvere almeno il GPS, la bussola, la luce di ormeggio, la velocità del vento, l’odore di gasolio e il tachimetro. Hanno detto che il non poteva fissare l’odore diesel, e si fissa tutto il resto. Quando abbiamo lasciato l’, tachimetro velocità del vento e direzione e la bussola non erano ancora lavorando.

Sardegna è un bel posto per navigare e lo consiglio a tutti, ma non noleggiare la barca a vela da Sandalia.
